The Bathroom Murder? Solution
The police are called to the scene of what later became known as the bathroom murder. Veronica Prune was found hanged in a hotel bathroom, hanging from a rope tied to a ceiling fixture beside the sunken bath. The reason murder was suspected, rather than suicide, is that Ms. Prune was found hanging in mid-air with nothing under her or near enough for her to have stood on. Her bathroom door was locked from the inside and the hotel manager had to break down the door to get in. The police were baffled.
Can you help them solve the mystery?

Liar, Liar Solution
A man is shipwrecked on a desert island inhabited by two tribes, one who always tell the truth and one who always lie. He has built a small boat and knows that one of the outlets from the lagoon is relatively easy to navigate and the other leads to certain death. He has with him one man from the liar tribe and one man from the truthful tribe and wants to ask them which exit to take. He is only allowed to ask them one question. Since he does not know which man is from which tribe what should his question be?

Plummet Solution
A woman, about to commit suicide, is standing looking through the open window of a twentieth floor apartment in a skyscraper. Suddenly she decides to leap through the window. If she fell from this height she would certainly die. She has nothing with her to slow her descent. There is nothing to catch her or break her fall. She falls from the sill unimpeded and yet lands unhurt. How can this be?

Catching a train Solution
Peter was going for a stroll on the railway track (now we all know we shouldn't do this don't we children?) when he saw a train speeding towards him. Before jumping out of the way he sprinted towards the train, only jumping to safety at the last second. Why would he do this?
