We are a very small company yet we punch well above our weight. For large pieces of work we involve a group of skilled and capable associates. For smaller or shorter engagements you will work with one of our Directors, Paul Birch and Chrissie Godfrey.
Paul is a creativity and organisational change consultant who helps organisations to solve impossible problems and find profitable solutions. He is an inspirational teacher, speaker, coach and facilitator whose style is both common sense and fun. Paul worked for British Airways for 18 years, in everything from Marketing to Mergers and Acquisitions. As Head of Business Planning he took a billion pounds out of the cost base; and as Corporate Jester he challenged the set thinking that permeates most modern organisations.
He left BA to set up his own consultancy and has now worked for himself for longer than he worked for BA. He has been a visiting lecturer at Exeter University, Henley Management College and Oxford University and has written nine books on creative thinking, organisational change, coaching, teamwork and leadership. Paul has an MBA, various psychometric profiling tool accreditations, an accreditation as an Action Learning Set facilitator and an Advanced Certificate of Executive Coaching.
Chrissie has worked as a facilitator and coach since 2000. With a first career in Arts Management, most of her clients have been in the cultural or local authority sector, where the desire to provide outstanding service sits in the context of ever tightening budgets. Her work regularly involves facilitating organisations to collaborate across boundaries to improve effectiveness and save money. She has also worked as a facilitator/trainer, coach, and Action Learning Set facilitator within a number of cultural leadership development programmes, and taught on HE cultural management courses.
Her passion is designing and facilitating processes that help people understand themselves and their contexts better. This has ranged from the four day Art of Change personal development programme, to The Being and Doing of Reflective Leadership for Arts Development UK. With Paul, she also teaches an intensive 2 ½ day Facilitation Skills course all over the world for Unilever’s HR teams.
Her style is warm, inventive, intuitive and direct, and she brings her passion for positive change to all that she does. Chrissie holds an MSc (Dist) in Change Agents Skills and Strategies from the University of Surrey and is an ILM Accredited Action Learning Set Facilitator.
